HORMONES AND AGEING:
Ageing can be viewed as a variable process resulting from a
disorderliness of regulatory mechanisms that results in reduced
robustness of the organism to intercurrent stress and disease. There is
the erosion of the orderly neuroendocrine feedback regulation of the
secretion of LH, FSH, ACTH, and GH. These changes are manifested as
menopause, andropause, adrenopause, and somatopause. The ageing related
disruption of metabolic processes is associated with a higher prevalence
of diseases such as type 2 diabetes and cancer in older individuals.
Currently, it seems fashionable to undermine the role of growth hormone,
as was to earlier to highlight it.There is a need for balanced view
based on different studies
rather than confusion arising out of individual studies and papers.science.qj.net/Growth-hormone-is-NOT-the-solution-to-youth/pg/49/aid/79852

We are fast urbanizing, period. But we are not urbanizing in a wholesome
manner. About sports, I agree with your views.

Inspirational story. It just endorses the feeling that true stories are
often moving than fiction.

Permission to print
Good afternoon!
We would like your permission to print your letter in our January issue.
Below is the text as it would appear.
A
savior for science?
>Many recent articles in newspapers, tabloids and web posts can easily
be dubbed as “Expectations from Obama” – including your recent news
article, “Obama good
for science, experts say” (1). Man, he has aroused so many expectations
from us! There is so much to be done in so many spheres. But having so
many expectations is not fair. In the difficult times we live now, we
are trying hard to find a savior. What if Barack Obama is not our
savior?

>The "two
heart attacks" should definitely point to a serious side effect of the
drug, especially in a person with no history of heart disease. What is
more disturbing is that the person in question was in good health to
participate in the drug trial and did so only to clear his debts. This
only means that his participation in the trial was not fully voluntary.
This may also mean that information about his health statusmbefore
entering the trial might not have been "good health." We should stop
labeling the outcome to "an unpredictable biological action" of the drug
every time.
