Dr. Vinod Nikhra M.D. is a physician and trained in internal medicine, clinical cardiology, clinical nephrology, endocrinology and hospital management. He has done Clinical Observership in internal medicine at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, U.S.A. He has special interests in diabetology, gerontology, rheumatology and hematology.
He is a Fellow of International Medical Sciences Academy and Fellow of Royal Society of Medicine, London. He is also associated with Cardiological Society of India and Indian College of Interventional Cardiology; Association of Physicians of India; Indian Society of Nephrology, Indian Academy of Nephrology, Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation USA, Indian Society of Hemodialysis and Alumni of Department of Nephrology, IMS Banaras Hindu University; Indian Society of Rheumatology, Indian Society of Hematology and Indian Medical Association; apart from various regional medical societies. He is the President of Association for Health in Middle Aged.
Above all, he loves writing and over the years, he has written various scientific, fiction and non-fiction books of general interest. He has been Chief Editor of “MADHYA: the midage”, the official journal of Association for Health in Middle Aged, during 2003-2005.
